Programme Happy in Holland Package

10:00 Arrive at the Amsterdam Castle Muiderslot where a guide awaits you. Step into the 17th century, the time of the most famous inhabitant of the castle: writer and poet PC Hooft. The guide tells about the culture, customs and habits of the Golden Age. The tour lasts half an hour. After the tour there is more than an hour to visit the museum gardens, to have a cup of coffee at the tavern, or view the museum shop.
11:45 The group gathers at the exit of the Muiderslot and walks together along the Herengracht in Muiden to one of our ships.
12:00 The group is received on board with a tasty Dutch lunch consisting of:

  • hard white bread rolls filled with (1 p/p)
  • old cheese / young cheese / ham / egg / chicken with salad garnish
  • brown farmer sandwiches filled with (1.5 p/p)
  • cheese / tomato / lettuce
  • ham / pickle / mustard mayonnaise
  • chicken / apple salad
  • extensive green salad
  • tomato / cucumber saladsemi-skimmed milk, coffee, tea
12:45 The captain tells something about the ship and the sailing trip and after that the ship passes the locks of Muiden, the Royal Marina and the Muiderslot. Next, the sails are hoisted and the course is set to Volendam or Marken. During the sailing trip drinks from the bar are served.
16:00 Arrival in Volendam or Marken. The group will disembark for a stroll around the harbour town.
17:30 End of the program in the harbour of Volendam or Marken.
